Grammar school In the municipal district there are 17 elementary schools, 4 junior high schools (gymnasia) as well as three junior high schools in outlying areas. Secondary schooling, both college-preparatory and vocational, prepares young people to gain not only entrance to the university but to have the skills necessary for the textile, chemical, ceramic , food-processing and electric industries. It prepares specialists in environmental protection, economics, administration and trade. The vocational schools train auto-mechanics, hairdressers, tailors and pastry chefs among others.

 

The rich cultural life of the town is shown in the following events:

- St. John's Night- the greeting of summer (June),
- The All-Poland Children's Ecology Art Contest (November),

Wrestling, karate, sumo, cross-country meets, soccer, swimming and badminton enjoy great popularity in Krotoszyn. Competitions in these sports are as follows:

- The Polish Sumo Wrestling Cup (March)
